Who should come? All those interested in ending slavery in our time. Why? All of us have touched, worn, or consumed products of slave labor without realizing it. We can decide to make a difference.
Presenter: Coalition of Immokalee Workers
For 20 years, this community of men and women laborers who pick tomatoes in south Florida have been telling their stories and making a difference. In 2010 they received the U.S. State Department Trafficking in Persons Hero Award for their perseverance against slavery operations in the United States agricultural industry and their determination to eliminate forced labor in the supply chain.
