Hear the silent cries of victims of human trafficking, especially those women and children taken
for the purposes of sexual exploitation and forced labor:
- by praying individually and communally for the eradication of human trafficking;
- by educating myself regarding the causes and consequences of this global injustice;
- by deepening my understanding of attitudes, structures and laws which allow the demand for trafficked persons
to continue with impunity.
Work to eradicate this global human rights violation and to affirm the dignity of all human beings:
- by participating in advocacy, campaigns and educational projects that aim to eliminate the demand for human trafficking;
- by advocating passage and implementation of laws that prosecute the traffickers and buyers of sex;
- by advocating for policies and programs that address the needs of victims of human trafficking and provide alternatives
to women and children in danger of being trafficked; - by advocating for the promotion and implementation of laws that protect victims of human trafficking;
- by consciousness raising activities such as suggesting reading a work on human trafficking in your book group;
- by collaborating with groups working to end human trafficking;
- by assisting the work to combat human trafficking through financial support.
